Coffee conundrum
Tonight Pan and I had a little grocery shopping to do. Out of necessity and frugality we ended up at a “box superstore” (which shall remain nameless…although it is NOT W******t). And what box superstore would not be complete without a small Starbucks corner cafe?
As we passed by I remembered that we had a gift card now 10 months old but still carrying a balance. We decided to stop and get a treat to enjoy as we shopped. It was then that I saw a sign for the VIA taste test. I thought back to some blog posts and Tweets and such during that day referencing the new Starbucks instant coffee. I inquired about VIA and talked Pan and I into getting a free cup of VIA each as well as a few samples to take home.
Imagine our delight when we each took the first sip and realized it tasted like….coffee. I mean, what did we expect, right? Well, since I am not a big fan of S’bucks coffee any longer (prefer my local café, to be honest) I wasn’t expecting much. But I did plan on there being some grounds floating on the top or sticking to the bottom of the cup. None though. Not one ground. The coffee was actually quite good.
I am not saying I would buy any of this instant brew but as long as it is free? Well, you know my saying.

Thanks for the review…I appreciate the opinion of someone who REALLY knows coffee….
