Buying a House: 101
We found out yesterday that we were approved for the USDA rural loan program. Great news. Come to find out our credit is in the top 5% of the nation. We have a pretty decent debt ratio.
Here is where we are though. We are really crunching numbers to see where we stand in terms of a potential month of expenses. It is one thing to purchase a home. It is quite another to pay monthly expenses including trash, sewage, water, electricity, etc. I have also recently found out that there is a zoning ordinance against hens in the city. I am a bit confused and not comfortable with that.
So we are really just listening for God’s word on this issue. Right now it looks like it isn’t the most sound decision for us. I’ll keep you posted though…
PS – In better news…I have sold two photographs from the walls of Red Rooster Coffee and secured a contract for an event in November at the Atlanta Hilton. My hobby is actually generating some money. Great stuff!
