I want to give a big shout out and send congratulations to my dear friend dreXeL. Her very first limited edition print tshirt is available starting today and for the next two weeks. The shirts are really soft (read: American Apparel soft) and feature one of her most popular and stunning pieces, ‘Smack Is A Vampire’. Her logo and a personal quote are on the back of the shirt. dreXeL’s new works are all representative of a life hard-lived and the emotional rollercoaster of overcoming her own obstacles. Through her paintings and illustrations, dreXeL communicates about the subjects of poverty, drug addiction and near-death experiences that have plagued her past.

Known for her unorthodox use of materials and multiple layering, you’re likely to find at least 4 different mediums in one of her paintings, one of which will always be spray paint.

Her artwork was recently on display at Bherd Studios in Seattle and is currently on the cover of Freestyle the Mag.
