The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient

I have grown up near the Chesapeake Bay and even heading down to Nags Head each summer. But for some reason I never really took advantage of what a great feeling it was to breathe in the salt air and to hear the sound of the ocean each morning and night. But this past week the ladyfriend and I headed to Nags Head to visit with my momma and the Strickland part of the fam (as well as cousins Jenny and Brian) to stay in the Bond Cottage (one of the original 13 cottages in Nags Head) for a couple of days.

The cottage was awesome as you can see in these pictures. It had that wainescoating, wooden floor, seashell vibe and together with the Bahama Mama’s and softshell crabs proved to be a perfect end to the summer.

Whilst in the Outer Banks we decided it would be a good idea to finally make it to the Wright Bros. Memorial which was something we have NEVER done in the whole 30 years I have been going to the beach. It really was cool. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed it and ended up with some pretty cool “point and click shots” of the event which you can view here.
