An Afternoon in Hoboken

Far from the mobster retirement village I thought it was, Hoboken turned out to be a really nice, smaller version of New York City. With its gothic architecture and intimate streets it served up all the diversity and entertainment the city has to offer. I went at the invite of my cousins, Jenny and Brian, for a little lunch and an afternoon strolling the weekend arts festival. The weather completely participated providing temperatures near the 70s and a sunny sky. It really was quite relaxing after a week of apartment “repair” and decorating, endless errands and to-do list after to-do list. I did manage to get some pictures of the city as well as some pictures of my cousins new home right on Washington Street. It was lovely. The day ended with a birthday dinner for my roommate at a quaint little Irish pub in the lower village.

This week I am going to continue with my little series on “unbeknown” expenses incurred when moving to NYC and hopefully end with pictures of the apartment which have been in great demand by many.
