The Editorial End

Having been away from Savannah for nearly two months now and intending to move to NYC by May 1, I think it is safe to say I no longer qualify to write for The South magazine. As a regional publication it is in the best interest of the magazine - in both business and professional editorial standards - to maintain writers and photographers that live in the immediate area. There is a kinship between the creatives of the magazine and the readers. Therefore, it is almost an end of an era. I have written for TSM since Issue 6 and Issue 14 just hit newsstands. I have been fortunate enough to put pen to paper (or fingers to keys, in my case) for things such as Dining News and Notes, Fashion Notes, Music Features, Feature Articles, camping guides, product guides, medicinal topics, personal profiles and even a hint or two of op-ed. I especially thank Jacob Cottingham and Carrie Johnson for being great editors and really breathing life into my words. They pushed and prodded me to do some of my best work and I am grateful to them for that. I also thank Emily Clark and Britt Odom for designing the layouts for my pieces that brought the words to life and gave them movement and action. You can see so much of my work by clicking on one of the links in red on the above right of this page. Explore…I dare you!
So without further ado I invite you to stop on over to The South magazine website to view my latest pieces on Stephanie Edwards, American Idol contestant, Attic Fire Photography, Savannah’s BEST photographers, Miss J of America’s Next Top Model fame, acupuncture in Savannah, Averil Hull, award-winning stylist and a few others.
